6,500 m² dedicated to sports and culture. A whole new complex is in the process of being built in Clichy (Hauts-de-Seine) in the Bac eco-district, and will be delivered “at the beginning of 2024 at the latest”, according to a press kit from the City. In particular, it will serve as a training ground for French volleyball teams as well as a base for the British delegation to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The building is built on five levels and will accommodate various activities ranging from boxing galas to music concerts. The building designed by the architect Rudy Ricciotti (founder of the MUCEM in Marseille) will be fully accessible to people with reduced mobility, with the possibility of practicing disabled sports, in particular thanks to a large room dedicated to wheelchair sports. Built on three levels and with an area of 1,000 m², it will be able to accommodate up to 2,500 people.
The complex will also offer the possibility of practicing handi-climbing, whose wall, made of sculpted concrete, will be visible from the outside. Distinguished by the interdepartmental prize for urban innovation in 2022, Remi Museaumayor of Clichy praised in the press kit « an architectural creation that will contribute to the influence of the Bac district and the City ».
