Children introduced to racket sports

During this first period of the school year, Mr. Fournier’s CM1-CM2 students were able to discover the sport of rackets to gradually learn about tennis. Every Monday afternoon, the students of the Maranville school learned to handle the racket, to receive the ball with a forehand and a backhand and to multiply the exchanges. For the last session, the weather was mild. The class went to the Maranville court to make real exchanges on both sides of a net. The students really appreciated this initiation, little practiced in schools. They will thus be ready to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Yannick Noah’s victory at Roland-Garros in 2023.
