Chelsea would now be favorites for Raphinha
Raphinha, long announced on the Barça side, could finally end up at Chelsea. According to the Evening Standard, the London club have become favorites to welcome the 25-year-old Brazilian winger, under contract to Leeds.
Already playing spoilsport in the Frenkie de Jong case, are Chelsea doubling everyone else for Raphinha? According to information reported Thursday by theEvening Standard, Leeds have accepted a €65m offer from the London club for their 25-year-old Brazilian winger. The Blues are now reportedly transfer favourites.
Because if the player apparently seems more interested in leaving for FC Barcelona, Leeds would still be waiting for a formal offer from the Spanish club. In the grip of financial difficulties, Barça seems to be concentrating its efforts on the arrival of Robert Lewandowski, for whom a concrete proposal has been made.

Arsenal would still be interested
But with less than a month to go to the start of the Premier League season, Leeds are in a rush. According to the same source, the club’s management would not be against closing the deal in the next 24 hours. Which leaves little time for Barça to get back in the race and match Chelsea’s offer.
Arsenal would also be on the spot. Problem: The Gunners are not qualified in the Champions League. Thus, Raphinha would have already opposed an end of inadmissibility. But the resident of the Emirates Stadium would not have given up.
Raphinha, who moved from Stade Rennais to Leeds in October 2020, comes out of a season with 11 goals and 3 assists in 35 Premier League games. Since arriving in England, his record is 17 goals and 12 assists in 67 games with the Peacocks.
