Chelsea and Potter don’t want to panic after two defeats
Graham Potter, Chelsea manager, does not want to panic as his team have just suffered two consecutive defeats against Brighton and Arsenal before facing Manchester City in the League Cup.
Chelsea will play Manchester City in the League Cup Round of 16 on Wednesday. Not the best place to recover after two Premier League defeats in a row. But Graham Potter don’t want to panic: “I would be lying if I said I didn’t expect it at some point. You accept this job and of course there will be times when it will not be a pleasant road. You have to deal with it” he said reports BBC Football.
Graham Potter wants to improve his team
Graham Potter now wants to focus on how he can advance his team: “When the results were good, I was honest enough to say there were things we needed to improve. It’s not like I could say we fell for football. “In terms of performance, we can improve a lot. This is the challenge” he added.
Two important matches to come
The next two games, against City and against Newcastle next weekend, will be important before the truce imposed by the 2022 World Cup: “We are looking forward to this game, and the game in Newcastle [samedi]. This is when you can learn a lot about each other. » he concluded.
