The MLS unveiled Monday the list of the inaugural local matches of each of its formations. Also, the Montreal team will have a busy winter, as it will play the round-trip round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions League; even if it did not specify in its press release, CF Montreal should logically evolve at the Olympic Stadium once during this confrontation.
As the team recalled in an email sent to the TVA Sports channel, winter conditions make it impossible to host matches at Stade Saputo, where the field requires several weeks for the grass roots to activate. In addition, the basic facilities – concessions, toilets, sinks – are not available at this time of year, since most of the plumbing in the place is open plan.
Meanwhile, head coach Wilfried Nancy’s squad will visit New York City FC at Yankee Stadium on March 12.
The club said that the sale of individual tickets for the meeting on March 5 will begin on a date to be determined. However, fans interested in a holiday package including a toque will have the opportunity to purchase tickets starting Friday.

For Toronto FC, the 2022 course will begin with a duel at FC Dallas on February 26. The « Reds » will host the New York Red Bulls at BMO Field seven days later.
