CF Montreal defender Kamal Miller is MLS player of the week

MONTREAL — CF Montreal defender Kamal Miller has been named Major League Soccer’s Player of the Final Week.

Miller shined with a goal and an assist in the club’s 2-1 win over Atlanta United last weekend. He is also part of the week’s star formation, where he is accompanied by his teammate Djordje Mihailovic, who finds himself on the bench of this week 9 all-star team.

So far this season, the Canadian international has started all nine games he has played, registering one goal and two assists in 801 minutes.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the season through popular vote and voting from media representatives. The North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) reporters’ vote counts for 75% of the vote, while the supporters’ vote counts for 25%.

CF Montreal will try to remain undefeated for a seventh consecutive game in MLS, as it hosts Orlando City SC this Saturday, at 4 p.m., at Saputo Stadium.
