Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour wins 2021 Jack Adams Award

Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour has won the 2021 Jack Adams Award, awarded to the best coach in the NHL.

In second place were Minnesota Wild bench boss Dean Evason and Joel Quenneville of Florida.

This season, Brind’Amour led the Hurricanes to the NHL Central Division title, the club’s first divisional title since 2005-06. The Hurricanes made the playoffs in each of Brind’Amour’s first three seasons as a head coach, and the Campbell River, BC product was awarded a three-year extension from Carolina yesterday.

Brind’Amour becomes the first head coach in Hurricanes franchise history to win the award.
