The Montreal Canadiens jersey featuring Carey Price’s number 31 was among the best-selling in 2021 across the National Hockey League (NHL).
This was revealed on Thursday by the results of the last year of the Bettman circuit.

The 34-year-old masked man’s jersey is seventh on the NHL’s best-selling list. We bet that his spectacular performances in the playoffs had something to do with it.
Indeed, Price allowed CH to reach the Stanley Cup final last summer. In 22 starts, he had a .924 save percentage and a 2.28 goals-against average. The Bleu-Blanc-Rouge lost in five games against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Grand Final.
As for the rest of 2021, the start of the 2021-2022 campaign, Price was conspicuous by his absence with the Canadiens. The BC native is recovering from knee surgery and has benefited from the services of the NHL’s assistance program, after publicly admitting to struggling with substance abuse issues.
Overall, Washington Capitals Alex Ovechkin’s jersey was the most popular in 2021. The one chasing the record for most goals scored in NHL history has edged Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby.
The jerseys of Quebecers Marc-André Fleury (Chicago Blackhawks) and Patrice Bergeron (Boston Bruins) were also popular. They were the third and sixth best sellers respectively.
