Carey Price can still make a difference, say NHL players

As for the skaters, Connor McDavid, of the Edmonton Oilers, is the one who has the rating. Players would like to have him on their team at a rate of 42.4% to win a game. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby (17.3%) and Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman (6.7%) complete the top three.

Crosby is perceived as the most complete player on the Bettman circuit (29.5%), ahead of Aleksander Barkov (20.5%), the Florida Panthers, Patrice Bergeron (19.5%), the Boston Bruins, and McDavids (9.2%)

McDavid ranks 2nd, at 22.8%, in the category of best puck handler, behind Patrick Kane (57.3%), of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kane (15.6%), however, comes second in the category of the best passer, behind Leon Draisaitl (17.7%), McDavid’s teammate.

NHL players would dream of having Alexander Ovechkin’s shot (53.1%). The Washington Capitals forward is well ahead of Auston Matthews (24%), of the Toronto Maple Leafs, in this category.

Brad Marchand (26.4%), of the Bruins, is at the forefront of the answers to the question who is the player you least like to face and would like to have in your team? ahead of McDavid (18.3%) and Capitals agitator Tom Wilson (10.7%).

Three arenas of Canadian teams top the list for the quality of their ice, according to players: the Bell Center in Montreal (39.6%), Place Rogers in Edmonton (13.7%) and the Canada Center Life of Winnipeg (12.2%).

Finally, Marie-Philip Poulin, winner of Olympic gold with Canada at the Beijing Olympics this winter, is perceived as the best player in the world by 43.2% of NHL players, ahead of Americans Hilary Knight (20 .7%) and Amanda Kessel (6.2%).
