Cardinals: DeAndre Hopkins soon transferred?

It’s time to clean up in Arizona. After the departures of Kliff Kingsbury and Steve Keim, the Cardinals could part ways with star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, according to Jordan Schultz of The Score.

Team owner Michael Bidwell is expected to explain this transfer target to general manager candidates.

Arrived in Arizona three years ago, Hopkins could, thanks to this transfer, obtain a new juicy contract in another franchise, and potentially approach the 28.5 million annual dollars of Davante Adams. Either way, it could look like a fresh start from near zero for the Cardinals, around Kyler Murray but without one of the NFL’s best weapons.

The 30-year-old Hopkins is a three-time All-Pro who had three seasons at over 1,400 yards during his career that began in 2013. Suspended for the first six games of the 2022 season following a positive doping test, he then had 64 receptions, 717 yards and 3 touchdowns in 9 games.
