SEOUL, 08 Dec. (Yonhap) — In the list of the most searched songs with the « Hum to search » function of the global search engine Google, the single « Butter » by the superstar group Bangtan Boys (BTS) ranked 2nd in the charts for the year 2022. The song title or lyrics search service without having to type the title allows you to find the title and lyrics by humming the piece of music.
According to the Google search engine website, BTS’s « Butter » ranked 2nd behind Ali Sethi’s Pakistani song « Passoori ». Third place on the list was taken by Indian singer Aditya A’s ‘Chaan Baaliyan’, followed by Glass Animals’ ‘Heat Waves’ and then Imagine Dragons’ ‘Ennemy’.
The most frequently typed keywords (in English) on Google were the name of the puzzle game ‘Wordle’ in the lead, followed by ‘India vs England’ in cricket, ‘Ukraine’ in third, ‘Queen Elizabeth II’ in fourth then “Ind vs SA” cricket match, India v South Africa in fifth place.
Key words for news search, the word « Ukraine » was the most frequent, followed by « death of Elizabeth II », « election results », « Powerball numbers », a lottery, and « smallpox monkey ». Among sports terms, “World Cup” was number 1, followed by “Olympic medal record”.
