Bugatti is going electric with… a scooter!
We were able to see these quite impressive technologies and concepts at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022 which was held in Las Vegas. We were able to discover the BMW iX which changes color, the Chrysler Airflow prototype, the Mercedes EQXX…
It turns out that Bugatti was also present at the show with a fully electric vehicle. But it’s definitely not what you expected.
The French company, now owned by Rimac, has teamed up with Bytech International to unveil a fully electric foldable scooter designed for everyday use. Available in three colors (blue, silver and black), the scooter weighs only 15.9 kg and is powered by a 700 watt electric motor.

According to Bugatti, the design of the machine is aerodynamic and functional, with a magnesium alloy frame supporting the portable and easily removable battery pack. The scooter can travel up to 35 km on a single charge and reach a speed of 30 km/h. There are three driving modes – economy, city and sport – and cruise control is available.
We were surprised to learn that the scooter relies on a dual braking system with electronic ABS on the rear wheel, which is not often seen on this kind of vehicle. The electric two-wheeler is also equipped with turn signals, an illuminated base and an « EB » monogram projection logo on the rear, which comes from Ettore Bugatti and highlights « art, style and performance » of the vehicle.
« Bugatti is at the pinnacle of automotive excellence », said Wiebke Stahl, Managing Director of Bugatti International. “Partnering with a company like Bytech gives us the opportunity to expand our reach into the e-mobility space with an experienced partner and a product that can be enjoyed by consumers around the world.”
It should be mentioned that this is not the first electric Bugatti, but rather the first electric Bugatti to two wheels. The Bugatti Baby II, which we tested in 2020, has a maximum power of 13.4 hp (10 kW) and a top speed of 70 km/h. And four wheels.
