Briançon surprises Cergy-Pontoise in the Magnus League

Briançon, bottom of the Magnus League, surprised Cergy-Pontoise, fourth, by winning on penalties (5-4) on Sunday. Cergy-Pontoise (4th) had started the match perfectly by scoring three goals by Kearney, Hordelalay and Kauppila in the first period. The Jokers increased their lead at the start of the second period by Levesque, but the Red Devils did not let go and came back to 4-3 thanks to goals from Igier, Huna and Vasko.

In the third period, Colomban brought the two teams level (4-4). Extra time gave nothing and it was therefore necessary to come to penalties. A session where the goalkeepers took precedence over the scorers, until Robin Colomban offered the victory to the Red Devils.

In the other matches of the evening, Angers logically dominated outside Mulhouse (1-5) and Gap won at Bordeaux (2-0).
