Big update for Anthony Davis and the Lakers!
Just back from injury, Anthony Davis seemed to have relapsed slightly and was to miss the game against the Hawks. Except that the magic of the NBA has worked, and The Brow could still participate in the meeting! Great news for the Angelinos who are still orphans of LeBron James.
The season ofAnthony Davis is anything but obvious, with the interior again having several physical glitches to deal with. He had already missed half of the 2020-21 regular campaign, and the Lakers had to do without him for almost six weeks between mid-December and the end of January. However, he had been able to make his comeback recently against the Nets, slowly rising in temperature before delivering a good show against the Sixers the following game.
Author of 31 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks, the former New Orleans was able to stand up individually to Joel Embiid. If Los Angeles left with a defeat, it was in any case a very encouraging sign. Except that the interior missed the next meeting, lost to the Hornets (117-114)… In question, a sore wrist for The Brow who put him on the sidelines. Worse still, this should a priori prevent him from participating in the duel against the Hawks.
Anthony Davis back against Atlanta?
Except that everything goes very quickly in the big league, and this adage also concerns the health status of the players. Listed as « questionable » until recently, AD has now been upgraded to « probable », according to Nick Friedell. Clearly, there is a very good chance that the n°3 will be in uniform in Georgia, in order to help the Purples and Golds to obtain their 25ᵉ victory of the current exercise.
Anthony Davis has been upgraded to probable for today’s game at Atlanta, as the Lakers wrap up their 6-game road trip.

Anthony Davis’ status has been updated as likely for today’s game in Atlanta, as the Lakers complete their 6-game road trip.
This is obviously great news for the Californians, especially since the ex-Pelican was not the only big name to be supposedly absent. LeBron James will not be present for the occasion, his state of health beginning to worry in the City of Angels. In addition to the King, hit in the knee, Russell Westbrook is also not sure of being able to participate in the meeting. Very good in Charlotte, the Brodie suffers from the same place as LBJ… Suffice to say that Davis’ update is timely.
Ninth in the Western Conference with only 24 successes for 26 defeats, the Angelinos have no more room for error and must imperatively begin to pile up the victories. Atlanta will not be an easy opponent, even if Trae Young & co. are still very poorly ranked (23-25, 10ᵉ in the East). They remain in effect on six games won in a row and therefore have the wind in their sails. The Monobrow, however, has the opportunity to cause carnage in the opponent’s racket, which is also not at best. It’s up to him to take advantage of it.
Anthony Davis should be in uniform for Los Angeles for the end of the road trip, enough to blow a lot of Purple and Gold fans. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to overcome the Hawks…
