Big complications for the Lakers regarding a trade!

Despite the recent arrival of Patrick Beverley, the Lakers still hope to recruit at least one name in the coming weeks. The Jazz is often cited as a trading partner, but the latest rumors are quite pessimistic. We must believe that Danny Ainge does not want to make a gift for a direct competitor in the West.

It is soon the recovery for the Lakers, who hope to take action soon to recruit a new player. Rob Pelinka believes that another name could do good for this current roster, especially since the soap opera Russell Westbrook is not settled yet. We know that there have been discussions with the Pacers, involving Buddy Hield and Myles Turner, but nothing seems to have progressed in recent weeks.

The new team often cited in rumors recently? Jazz. With Donovan Mitchell’s trade, Danny Ainge confirmed that the franchise will rebuild in the next few years, with the help of young players and draft rounds. The Angelinos could contribute to this, at least if an agreement is reached for a trade. Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson are currently the three names available.

Complications between the Lakers and the Jazz?

We don’t yet know which name the Lakers like the most, but it’s clear that the front office wants at least one. Westbrook is available, as is a first round draft pick, that of 2027 or 2029. Problem? Impossible to find an agreement according to the insider Tony Jones, who has closely covered the Jazz for a few years. At the same time, Danny Ainge is not known to be a soft guy in negotiations.

The Jazz have spoken a lot to the Lakers recently. Utah even made an offer, while the Angelinos made a counter offer. But the two are very distant from each other, and I don’t know if there is enough between the two franchises for an agreement to be found. I can say the Jazz want a first-round draft pick owned by the Lakers, but the price tag is too high to get it back.

We can imagine that the Lakers are ready to drop a first round draft, but at least against two Jazz players, like Bogdanovic and Clarkson for example. Utah side? We must refuse, believing that this first round is interesting, but not enough to attract two players. It is in any case the current trend, remains to be seen if someone will crack before the recovery.

The Lakers and the Jazz have been talking for some time, that’s for sure. Is an agreement possible? Yes, but it’s still a long way off if that’s the case. Even if it means dropping a first round, the Angelinos want to recover a good counterpart, which Danny Ainge refuses for the moment. But until the recovery, anything is possible.
