Organized by the Osartis-Marquion community of municipalities, the inter-municipal sports festival is making its big comeback on September 3 and 4, in Biache-Saint-Vaast, 10 and 11 in Marquion.
Sports practice. Committed to developing the practice of sport among its inhabitants, the Osartis-Marquion community of municipalities promises a great family and festive event. It will be possible to discover the different sports existing on the territory and the practices adapted to all ages. The event is labeled “Terre des Jeux 2024”.
New formula. Yves Legros, vice-president in charge of sport, recalls that lessons were learned from the first edition, in 2018: “ We took into account the logistical problems encountered as well as the limited space-time offered to the public. The activities were concentrated over three days in several sites. » This is why, this year, the Fête du sport was held over two weekends. »
The challenge of this event is important as clubs and associations have been tested during the health crisis. » This completely free event must allow them to bounce back and regain visibility.continues Yves Legros. It can only generate positive and revitalizing effects, both with our inhabitants, by arousing their desire to practice a sporting activity, and with all these volunteers, who deserve valuation and consideration. « . Thirty-one clubs and associations will be present (out of 102 listed on Osartis-Marquion).
Program. Saturday September 3, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday September 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in Biache-Saint-Vaast. Louis-Deret stadium and Émile Huré room: fitness initiations and demonstrations, athletics, badminton, basketball, dance(s), mountain biking, gym (wellness and sports), hiking, judo, aikido, tennis, paramotoring. On the Léon-Javelot nautical base: paddle, canoe and umiak.
Saturday September 10, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday September 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Marquion. Gymnasium and swimming pool of the Marches de l’Artois college (rue de la Mairie): initiations and demonstrations of table tennis, boxing, cane fighting, defence, football, Nordic walking, line dancing, break dancing, fitness, soft gym, judo, aikido, canoe-kayak, foot races. At the pool: aquagym, aquabike, rolling and canoeing.
Fun activities will be offered: freestyle football with Rémy Coquelle; show football with interactions and initiations accessible to all; “trott’experience”: course on an all-terrain electric scooter, with a state-certified guide (accessible from 12 years old); BMX course with Jocelyn Vasseur, qualified instructor (accessible from the age of three, even without knowing how to ride a bike).
Sports pass. The children will be given a “pass’sport”. At the end of five validated activities, they will receive goodies.
Eco-event. The waste service, in partnership with Symevad, will install double-flow bins on the sites and will remind you of the basic rules for sorting waste.
Appropriate clothing recommended
: a sports outfit and a change of clothes (in particular for the practice of nautical and aquatic activities).
