Never underestimate the value of role players in the playoffs. Ty Dellendrea scored twice at 1:27 midway through the third period to ensure the Dallas Stars would force a Game 6 and reduce their series deficit to just 3-2.

Dallas is looking to become the first team since the 2014 LA Kings to come back from a 3-0 deficit in a playoff series, and Stars captain Jamie Benn is eligible to return to the Stars roster for Monday’s game. Benn was suspended for two games for an intersection on Mark Stone in Game 3.

Adin Hill allowed four goals on 34 shots in a losing effort in Game 5. Despite an average night, Hill still has a dazzling .932 save percentage going into the playoffs. Jake Oettinger made 27 saves on 29 shots and continues to be solid after being taken out in Game 3.

The Golden Knights will need more production from their captain Stone, who has scored just once in the series and been deemed useless in the Knights’ last three games.

There are days when you just have a bad beat, and this was one. Oettinger finished the game with 27 saves, so we just missed the most and are now 12-10 in the playoffs.
