Besancon. When animals and plants inspire businesses, at the “Create tomorrow, 2 days to innovate” show

The creators gathered this Tuesday, until Wednesday, at the CCI in Besançon, compete in inventiveness on the objects they have designed, for the most part, drawing inspiration from life and developments in the animal and plant kingdom. The Bourgogne Franche-Comté Regional Economic Agency (AER BFC), for its third edition, was once again able to bring together, face-to-face, all the industrial and financial partners essential to the development of those who will make the eco-responsible world of tomorrow.

« Biomimicry is applicable to all fields of human activity », explains Alain Renaudin, director of Newcorp Conseil and creator of the Biomim’expo fair in Paris. « Whether in Health, with heart pumps, which save energy, which replicate marine ripples, in materials, by printing matter where it is useful, or in agriculture, by dispersing pheromones that will lead sexual confusion of certain insects, harmful to crops, to prevent them from reproducing. These are just a few examples among many. «

A trophy to reward the best

The two days revolve around conferences, round tables, master classes and meetings between entrepreneurs, manufacturers and funders to make the best projects a reality. Wednesday, at the end of the afternoon, a trophy will be presented to one of the ten exhibitors present at the 1er floor of the CCI in order to crown the best of them. Each professional visitor will have determined his prior choice by means of a ballot paper to be placed in a ballot box. Whoever receives the most votes will win the award.

All of them, in their own way, offer original concepts or articles, either natural or resource-efficient, non-polluting, or simply connected objects that bring together all the useful functions of several devices. The economy of raw materials, in the latter case, is not far off. Thus, Fab’One, a start-up launched three years ago in the Jura by Julien Fabre, imagined a case, to be placed on the wrist, for those who practice sports outdoors.

“I acquired ten years of experience in the electronics industry before I started,” says the founder. “During my outings, I realized that I was carrying 5 to 6 devices with me at the same time. I ran out of room for my sandwich! I immediately thought of a way to compile everything in one element that would give me the information that is useful to me outdoors. I have been developing “Kaptrek” for three years. This “All-in-one” device has the functionality of a connected watch, a GPS, a security beacon, a walkie-talkie and a remote control. I hope to market it next year. «
