Bernardo Silva at PSG, Manchester City not so closed… – Kick Football
PSG want Bernardo Silva: discussions exist with Manchester City.
PSG are still on the trail of Bernardo Silva. While Barça seems to give up, too expensive, Paris is on the spot. According to The Times, PSG would be willing to pay 70 million euros to recruit the midfielder from Manchester City.
But the Sky Blues demand more. Much more: 80 million euros minimum. Under contract until 2025, Bernardo Silva would like to leave the English club, but will not go to clash.
According to L’Equipe, discussions are still open between two Middle Eastern entities that have long been rivals in business and sport.
Bernardo Silva will be sold, at the right price…
“Paris, owned by Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), and City, owned by the Emirati holding company Abu Dhabi United Group, made contact by telephone this summer in the context of the possible transfer of Bernardo Silva to the French capital. A dialogue that was unthinkable not so long ago,” writes L’Equipe.
“Of course, Qataris and Emiratis do not exchange directly. In Manchester, Spanish sporting director Txiki Begiristain and his team have this task. On the Parisian side, it is divided between the Portuguese Antero Henrique and Luis Campos. But the leaders of the two states validated the approach, in a fragile geopolitical context on the Arabian Peninsula.
According to L’Equipe, the solution would also be sporting. In City, according to L’Equipe, Bernardo Silva would rather be a substitute. But PSG will have to pay the price.
