Benteke plants a brace against Burnley to become Belgium’s 2nd top scorer in Premier League history

Crystal Palace and Christian Benteke shared the 3-3 stake against Burnley this Saturday afternoon on Matchday 12 of the Premier League. Already scorer with the Red Devils against Estonia last weekend, Big ben put the cover back in front of the Clarets, planting her 3rd and 4th rose of the season in England. This double allows Benteke to overtake Eden Hazard (third with 85 goals) in the ranking of the best Belgian scorers in the history of the Premier League with 86 goals, but remains behind the untouchable Romelu Lukaku and its 116 goals.

Benteke didn’t wait long to come out in the spotlight. From the 8th minute of play, the Belgian striker receives a ball Joachim andersen in the box, control with the right foot and strike with the left foot without hesitation. The ball ends up a little lucky at the back of the goal of Jason steele after touching the foot of a defender (0-1).

This goal had the gift of waking up the locals who, in quick succession, took the lead thanks to Ben mee (1-1, 19 ‘) and Chris Wood (2-1, 27 ‘). But that was without counting on Benteke, who tied the two sides, scoring his 86th Premier League goal. In a completely crazy match, the defender Marc Guehi gave back the advantage to Eagles just before the break (2-3, 42 ‘).

Returning from the locker room, the former Lyon Maxwell Cornet allowed Burnley to snatch a point by scoring his 5th goal of the season. Final score: 3 goals everywhere!
