Baseball – Ralph Lauren launches collection in association with MLB franchises

On Monday, Ralph Lauren unveiled a capsule collection around several Major League Baseball (MLB) teams including the Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs and Cardinals. Other teams will be added in a second step, in particular the Red Sox.

The first capsule collection will include polo shirts, satin jackets, sweatshirts and New Era caps in multiple team colors by Ralph Lauren, in adult and child sizes. In addition, each collection will feature polo shirts and round neck sweatshirts, the Polo Bear representing the different teams.

This collaboration will be highlighted in original formats, starting with a countryside world that revisits vintage baseball cards! First launched in its digital version, this campaign will also invest in large cities via frescoes and giant wall advertising in relief.

At the same time, a vintage Ralph Lauren motorhome will crisscross the roads of the United States, offering food and drinks around baseball, especially in New York and Chicago. For each purchase, certain points of sale will offer popcorn in the colors of the Ralph Lauren x MLB collaboration.

Two other capsule collections will also be launched this fall and for the holiday season. This collaboration with the MLB joins the brand’s other partnerships in sport such as Team USA, Wimbledon, the US Open, the Australian Open or the PGA of America circuit.

In the fall of 2018 and for the brand’s 50th anniversary, the Yankees invited Ralph Lauren to make the first pitch of a game.
