Barça: Xavi flies to the rescue of Torres

Despite a successful penalty, FC Barcelona winger Ferran Torres (21 years old, 6 games and 2 goals in all competitions this season), in tears, broke down after the match against Naples (1-1) in the Europa League on Thursday because of his many missed opportunities (see here). At a press conference this Saturday, Blaugrana coach Xavi came to the defense of the Spanish international.

« We spoke to him and I have blind faith in him. He will make the difference for us, as he has already done in the national team, at Manchester City or even at Valencia when he was very young », assured the coach of the Catalan club.

Signed for 55 million euros this winter from Manchester City, Torres raises high expectations in Barcelona.
