Austin Watson suspended – TVA Sports


Ottawa Senators forward Austin Watson was suspended for two games on Sunday for an action he committed the day before.

Saturday afternoon, in a 2-0 loss to the Boston Bruins, the 30-year-old hit defenseman Jack Ahcan in the head with his left shoulder.

On the sequence, he received a two-minute penalty for obstruction. The incident occurred in the first half of this clash.

Watson has two goals and an assist for three points in 31 games so far in 2021-22. He will miss the matchups against the Washington Capitals (Sunday) and against the St. Louis Blues (Tuesday).
