Atalanta sole leader, fall of the Wolf and the Rossoneri, big winners of the Milan derby

AA / Montreal / Hatem Kattou

The fifth day of the Italian football championship, spread over three days, saw the « Rossoneri » of AC Milan win with difficulty against their eternal rivals Inter, the second big club of the Serinissima City.
In addition, the Atalanta Bergamo club, an easy away winner against the red lantern of Monza (2-0) took control of Serie A alone, taking advantage of the setback suffered by the Roman Wolf, who dropped heavily and unexpectedly against Udinese (0-4).

– The heavy fall of the Roman Wolf

Before the start of the day, AS Roma occupied the top of the standings with ten points in their pocket and had the opportunity to consolidate their leadership of Calcio.
However, it was without counting on the excellent performance of Udinese, which crushed the Roman Wolf by the score without appeal of four goals to nil.
After a first goal scored in the first five minutes of the game by the young Destiny Udogie (20 years old), the capital club, as paralyzed and unable to react, sank in the second half in the space of 26 minutes.
It was, indeed, the amount of time needed for German midfielder Lazar Samardžić, still a young 20-year-old striker, Argentina international Roberto Pereyra and Slovenian defensive midfielder Sandi Lovrić, Udinese players to knock out their adversaries and seal the Roman hecatomb.
At the end of this heavy defeat, the foals of the « Special One », José Mourinho, conceded their first setback of the season and are demoted to fifth place with ten points.
Their executioner of the day, Udinese meanwhile, goes up the standings to settle at the foot of the podium, but with the same number of points as their unfortunate opponent.

– The « Rossoneri », big winners of the Milan derby

The cauldron of the mythical stadium of « Giuseppe Meazza » in the no less mythical district of San Siro, hosted the Milan derby on Saturday, which opposes the two big clubs of the city in northern Italy.
At the end of an intense and fiercely contested match, it was the « Rossoneri » (Red and Black), who came out on top, winning by forceps against the Nerazzurri (The Black and Blue) by three two goals.
At the end of a first period penalized by a parity score (1-1), AC Milan quickly doubled the stake, from the start of the second half, before tripling the score at the time of the game, respectively thanks to the goals of the Portuguese international Rafael Leao (author of a double) and the French striker Olivier Giroud.
Inter Milan certainly managed to reduce the score in the 67th minute thanks to a goal signed by the Bosnian international, Edin Džeko (36), but did not manage to equalize, thus conceding their second defeat of the season; the first having been recorded during the third day against Lazio in Rome (1-3).
At the end of this victory, the teammates of the Algerian international Ismael Bennacer, ensured a place on the third step of the podium with 11 points, two lengths from the leader Atalanta.
As for Inter Milan, it is ranked seventh with nine points in its counter.

– The “Vecchia Signora” stalls opposite the “Viola”

Already author of two draws in four days, Juventus of Turin once again conceded the parity score on this fifth day on the lawn of the Artemio-Franchi stadium in Florence.
Indeed, the « Vecchia Signora » took the lead from the first minutes of the match through Arkadiusz Milik, their new striker recently recruited and who was playing for the Marseille club Olympique de Marseille.
The Polish international opened the scoring in the 9th minute of the first half, but twenty minutes later, the « Viola » equalized thanks to the Ivorian Christian Kouamé, aged 25.
Despite this draw, the third of the season, Juventus are ranked sixth overall with nine points.
A positive point all the same deserves to be pointed out for the teammates of the Argentinian Angel Di Maria (who will not be part of the group which will be opposed to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday in the Champions League, having suffered a calf injury) is that ‘they are still undefeated.

– Atalanta confirms and takes orders alone

The final meeting of the day was played late Monday afternoon and pitted Atalanta Bergamo against Monza.
After a tasteless and featureless first half, logically sanctioned by a goalless draw, the teammates of the Argentinian goalkeeper of Atalanta reacted to win easily and logically.
Indeed, in the 57th minute of the game, the young and slender Danish center forward, Rasmus Højlund, aged 19, opened the scoring before seeing his club double the mark, eight minutes later.
The second goal was scored against his side by the unfortunate defender of Monza, the Brazilian Marlon Santo who deceived the vigilance of his goalkeeper, Di Gregorio.
Thus, and thanks to this easy and logical victory, Atalanta Bergamo alone leads the championship with thirteen points to its credit, while its opponent of the day is still red lantern with zero points on the clock after conceding five defeats in as many games played.
