Aston Martin boss tempers his title ambitions

Before the presentation of the single-seater this Thursday, February 10, the former boss of BMW Motorsport returned to his words of winning the title and tempered them. According to him, Aston Martin cannot aim for the title in 2022:
Yes, but I didn’t say when! It would be unfair if the expectation of me was to say ‘now he’s coming, so we’ll automatically win’. That would be a bit naive.
The replacement for Otmar Szafnauer believes that we will be able to see the first effects of his arrival from the second half of the season:
If I had said that I was going to change or move something in a big way for the 2022 season, that would be very naive. The foundations will be laid in August or September. We have to see this a little more in the medium term. And we shouldn’t talk about the long term in F1 anyway.
Lawrence Stroll, the team owner, says he is in the second year of a 5-year plan before winning the title:
We are about to start the second year of our five-year plan, the objective of which is to win the Formula 1 world championship.
Officially renamed Aston Martin only a year ago, the British team continues to work on its identity:
We hire brilliant new people every week. The construction of our new factory is progressing very well. We have a fantastic list of great sponsors and partners.
In short
The new director of Aston Martin, Mike Krack, reconsiders his remarks which announced winning a championship shortly. If he tempers his words, the owner of the British team, Lawrence Stroll, confirms that he has established a five-year plan to win the title.
