Conor Callagher, is not the only loaner this season to have performed very well since the start of the season. The Blues can also rub their hands with the Albanian’s excellent start to the season Armando Broja in Southampton.
The 20-year-old center-forward has already registered five goals in the Premier League, including one in the last game against Brentford. Broja enjoyed a spectacular rise with Chelsea’s Under-18s in the 2019-20 season, which saw him make his debut with the Under-19s, followed by the Under-23s. On March 8, 2020, he made his professional debut in a 4-0 home victory over Everton in the Premier League in which he replaced a certain Olivier Giroud and played his first four minutes.
During the summer of 2020, he is loaned one season to the Arnhem speed in Eredivisie. He adapts perfectly to the Dutch championship since at the end of the loan, he scores no less than eleven goals and deliver three assists.
Returning to Chelsea and he’s on loan at Southampton, where he has become one of the Premier League’s best Under-21 players, with a focus on his good away performances.
As with Gallagher, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea rely on their two young nuggets in the future or if they decide to sell them after both excelling at such a high level.
