Aric Almirola wins the Open – NASCAR Cup Series
The final qualifying race for the NASCAR All-Star Race, the NASCAR Open goes to Stewart-Haas Racing driver Aric Almirola. Ross Chastain and Tyler Reddick win the first two segments and also qualify.
The starting grid for the NASCAR All-Star Race is now known after Aric Almirola’s victory at the NASCAR Open. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver wins after 50 laps of the race at Texas Motor Speedway. Already victorious in his Duel during the DAYTONA 500, Aric Almirola seems to reserve himself for non-championship races in 2021. For all the drivers, the heat was an important factor during this last act before the All-Star. Indeed, the temperature of the track was above 145 ° F (62 ° C – editor’s note).
