Injured since January in a knee, FC Barcelona winger Ansu Fati could play again this season according to Xavi.
With the La Liga title out of reach, the European title in the pocket and a chance to qualify for the Champions League, some have looked for meaning in FC Barcelona’s final games of the season. The Catalans have six games left to play with the priority being to secure a place in the top four, but if they beat Rayo Vallecano on Sunday night, Barca will be six points ahead of fifth-placed Betis Sevilla.
A positive return for Barça
One thing the Blaugrana can look forward to is Ansu Fati’s potential return. The Spanish international, injured in the knee since January, could return for the last matches of the season. FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez was asked for an update during his press conference on Saturday and gave this answer to Mundo Deportivo. « If all goes well this week he will train with the group and if all goes well he will be there for the next game against Mallorca. He is not just doing small bits now, he does complete exercises and he is a differential player, something very positive for us. »
