Kyle Larson never seems to have enough wins under his belt. Saturday evening he took part in the Turkey Night Grand Prix in Midget and once again shone.
Already a triple winner of the event, Kyle Larson decided to line up at the start at the very last moment. Thanks to his friend Chad Boat, owner of a Midget team, Larson was able to get behind the wheel of the #87 car.
“It came to my mind all of a sudden and it only blocked me for a day away from my family. Katelyn is really pregnant right now, and I don’t want to miss a thing. That’s why I didn’t want to participate in events over several days. »
“But I had no intention of doing that and I texted Chad late Thursday night to see if he would have a car for me. Then everything happened very quickly, I pulled the trigger, booked a flight and arrived there on Saturday morning. »
Although he missed Friday practice and spun on his first qualifying lap. In the race, after starting from 22nd position, he moved up the whole peloton to finally fail in second place in this 81st edition of the USAC National Midget season finale.
The event was won by Justin Grant who ended his season in the best possible way.
