Angels expect to see Mike Trout again this year

Mike Trout has been on the sidelines since the end of May – he missed the last 67 Los Angeles Angels meetings.

Before his injury, the star player had a historic start to the season. He was (by far) the best hitter in the league and impressed every time he got to the plate.

Unfortunately, a sore heel caused doctors to tell him he was going to miss six to eight weeks. The problem? That makes twelve now.

Team manager Joe Maddon, however, expects him to return to the game by the end of the regular season.

Some wonder if it’s a good decision to let him come back considering the setbacks the team is going through this year. The Angels are unlikely to make the playoffs, although Trout returns to the game soon.

Asked about it, Maddon said his star was working extremely hard with the goal of making a comeback so there was no question of asking him to quit for this year.
