Andrew Jennings, journalist who exposed corruption in international sport, dies at 78

After Mr. Jennings published books on IOC corruption, beginning with “The Lords of the Rings: Power, Money and Drugs in the Modern Olympics” (1992), co-authored with Vyv Simpson, the two authors were given a five-day suspended prison sentence by a court in Lausanne, Switzerland, for « defamation of the IOC ». Mr. Jennings followed with two more books exposing corruption within the Olympic body, including “The Great Olympic Swindle” (2000, written with Sambrook).
