This is another important element of LOSC which is about to pack its bags. After Mike Maignan and Boubakary Soumaré, who left at the beginning of the summer, it is now Luiz Araujo who is about to fly to other skies. According to the team, Brazilian striker is said to be very close to joining Atlanta United, Major League Soccer franchise. As the American transfer window closes in the next few hours, negotiations between the Georgian team and the northern leaders are said to be on the verge of being concluded. Still according to the French daily, the transfer fee would be around 10 million euros, the amount desired by the Mastiffs.

After four years spent in France, the former Sao Paulo player is therefore preparing to join another continent. In Lille, he will have played 136 games, and will have finished on a good note, since he was in the eleven of Jocelyn Gourvennec who defeated PSG (1-0) during the Champions Trophy.

For the LOSC, this is another significant loss. While two important elements have already left the Pierre Mauroy stadium, here is a third which should follow the same path. Renato Sanches being regularly announced on the shelves of big European teams, this transfer window is one of all dangers for the reigning French champions.
