Starworks is one of the most important teams currently playing in the endurance racing world, having notably won the LMP2 class at the 2012 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship in the same category. . In Grand-Am, Sébastien Bourdais and Alex Popow won last year in Indianapolis at the helm of one of the Riley-Fords of this American team, funded by sponsors from Venezuela. To start at the 24 Hours of Daytona, Alex could not therefore dream of a better team!

Besides Starworks, the favorites of the 24 Hours of Daytona 2013 are called Ganassi Racing, with its two crews (Pruett / Rojas / Montoya / Kimball on No.01 and Franchitti / Dixon / Hand / McMurray on No.02), 8 Stars (with pilots of the caliber of Pedro Lamy, Nicolas Minassian, Stéphane Sarrazin and Anthony Davidson), Action Express (Piquet Jr / Fittipaldi / Nasr) or even Wayne Taylor Racing (Angelelli / Taylor).
