Météo France published its new heatwave vigilance map on Saturday afternoon. You should know that Météo-France provides several levels of heat wave vigilance: level 1 (green) corresponds to a « seasonal watch », level 2 (yellow) to a « heat warning » and it is level 3 (orange) which corresponds to the « heat wave alert ». When will temperatures drop and when will the heat wave end?

The heat peak is expected on Monday when the whole country will experience temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees, with the exception of the Channel (27 degrees in Cherbourg). On Tuesday, the end of the heat wave episode will become clearer in the west in Brittany and on the entire Atlantic coast, while the maximum will be reached in Paris and in the east of France. On Wednesday, thunderstorms are expected and temperatures should drop to 25 degrees, except in Provence.
