Al Ittihad of Alexandria holds its new coach. It is the Serb Zoran Manojlovic who succeeds Mohamed Omar at the head of the technical bar of the Egyptian Premier League club.
Al Ittihad of Alexandria vice-president Ahmed Abdelmajid has confirmed the appointment of Zoran Manojlovic as first-team coach for the new season. The latter has extensive experience in African football since he has coached several clubs including Simba SC in Tanzania, Primero Agosto in Angola, Al Hilal Omdurman in Sudan, Wydad Casablanca in Morocco and CR Belouizdad in Algeria.
Ahmed Abdelmajid confirmed the signing of the Serbian technician on the Egyptian channel Ten: « The board of directors led by Mohamed Moselhi studied many CVs of several coaches, but it was decided to choose Zoran Manojlovic because of his good knowledge of the Arab and African football. He is due to arrive in Alexandria on September 12 and will be accompanied by a foreign assistant. »
« Mohamed Omar’s contract ended this season and there are conditions that prevent him from continuing the adventure as technical director, but he will have a role within the staff of the team next season », a- he concluded.
