Carrick still on the bench of Manchester United against Chelsea
Victorious Tuesday against Villarreal in the Champions League (2-0), Michael Carrick will undoubtedly extend the interim on the bench of Manchester United. The former midfielder, who took over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, will a priori lead the Red Devils in Sunday’s clash against Chelsea (5.30 p.m. on RMC Sport 1).
According to Sky Sports, it is however not recorded that Michael Carrick ends the season. For now, the management of Manchester United are still looking for a more experienced coach to go until the end of the season, before recruiting a long-term number 1. For the CDD of a few months, Ernesto Valverde, Ralf Rangnick and Rudi Garcia are the last names that were mentioned. For this summer, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag (Ajax) are still considered favorites by the English press.
