In this period so conducive to signing in the NBA, some former glories of the league disappeared from circulation find a place in beautiful franchises. A multiple All-Star was also added to the list this Wednesday, by joining a top-team from the East!

Their names come up in the rumors from time to time, without really making noise, or causing a big stir in the NBA community. Left out of the league for multiple reasons, former big names had been trying for years to re-enter it through various means. Faced with the coronavirus epidemic that is currently hitting all franchises, they are finally getting the blow of fate they were waiting for.

The most noticed return in recent days is none other than that of Isaiah Thomas, signed by the Lakers after long months of hardship. Author of remarkable debuts at Purple & Gold, the leader has been experiencing some difficulties in doing so. The future will tell if Lance Stephenson will experience the same misadventures in his new team, or even the other returning recruited in recent hours by a heavyweight from the East.

Joe Johnson signs his comeback to the Celtics

In one of his many interventions of the day, Adrian Wojnarowski has just announced the arrival of Joe Johnson to the Celtics!

Free agent Joe Johnson is set to sign a 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics, ESPN sources say. Johnson is returning to the franchise that drafted him 20 years earlier, and is expected to play tonight against Cleveland.

An unexpected homecoming for the former Hawks scorer, supposed to compensate for the Covid-related absences of Josh Richardson, Grant Williams or Jabari Parker in Boston.

Selected in 10th position in the 2001 Draft by the C’s, Iso Joe only lingered in the franchise for a few months, before being transferred to Phoenix in the middle of his rookie season. At 40, he will therefore have the opportunity to correct the image he left in Massachusetts, he who was still running at 22.8 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the Big 3 a few months ago!

Last seen on the NBA floors in 2018, Joe Johnson will therefore put on the Celtics’ outfit this Wednesday, to face the Cavaliers. The opportunity for him to recall the full extent of his talent at 40!
