After Formula 1 at Netflix, Amazon Prime in turn creates its docu on MotoGP

Behind the scenes of the MotoGP World Championship will be the subject of a series broadcast by Amazon Prime Video, similar to the Netflix series Drive to survive on Formula 1, announced Thursday the championship and the platform.

The documentary series will air in 2022 and will have eight 50-minute episodes, shot during the 2021 season, which saw Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) first be crowned at 22.

Other highlights of the season include the retirement of legend Valentino Rossi (Yamaha-SRT), at 42, and the lackluster season of the other multiple world champion, Marc Marquez. (Honda), between injuries and victories.

No release date or name have yet been revealed for this series produced by Mediapro in collaboration with Dorna, the championship promoter.

MotoGP hopes to ride on the « Netflix » effect felt by Formula 1 after the success of its documentary series, renewed for a season 4 which will also be released in 2022.
