AdventHealth 400 – Event Overview

By winning the Dover race on Monday, Martin Truex Jr. ended a fifty-four race winless streak and became the eighth different driver to win in 2023. He also qualified for the NASCAR All-Star Race from North Wilkesboro in two weeks.

Construction of the Kansas oval began on May 25, 1999 and opened in September 2001. Jeff Gordon won the first Cup race there on September 30, 2001. The four-time champion is one of its five drivers to count three successes on this track. Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano or even Kevin Harvick, can, in the event of victory this weekend, become the most victorious driver in Kansas.

In 2022 Kurt Busch won his last career victory, while during the playoffs his teammate Bubba Wallace found his way to Victory Lane. 23XI Racing thus became the fourth team to win two races in a row at Kansas, after Hendrick Motorsports, Furniture Row Racing and Joe Gibbbs Racing.
