Acura on track at Daytona with its LMDh

Prep work continues for Acura. After the Paul-Ricard or Magny-Cours more recently, the American branch of Honda has set up its tent at Daytona to carry out its first tests on the track where the ARX-06 LMDh will make its racing debut next year.

In Florida, Acura collaborated with Wayne Taylor Racing, one of two operators of the ARX-06 LMDh, the second going to Meyer Shank Racing. On site, where Porsche had also been present, the WTR worked for two days, driving there even in night conditions thus continuing to “ prepare for both the introduction of the GTP category in 2023 and the upcoming 2022 finals (in IMSA, Petit Le Mans on October 1). »

See you at Daytona in 2023

Although the LMDhs are authorized to take part in the rounds of the WEC this year, Wayne Taylor Racing and Meyer Shank Racing preferred not to try their luck. Both entities are fully focused on IMSA and the 2023 Daytona 24 Hours (January 26-29).

» She is very beautifulrecently told us Felipe Albuquerque. I can’t wait to see it in the Wayne Taylor Racing livery, it will look even better! It is more imposing than the DPI, but this is due to the new regulations. The difference is impressive. We can see this year after year in Formula 1 with a longer wheelbase distance which makes sense as it gives more stability. »
