Action Express and Ally join forces with Cadillac in 2022

While Ally will still be Action Express Racing’s main partner in 2022, Jimmie Johnson will once again be seen in the seat of the Cadillac DPi-VR next season.

The seven-time NASCAR champion is back in the Cadillac where he will take his 9th start at the 24 Hours of Daytona next month. Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Rockenfeller will also be part of the adventure in 2022. The novelty comes from the presence of Jose Maria Lopez.

« It is a good thing that Jimmie is back in charge of the Ally Cadillac driver team for the four endurance events of 2022 »said Gary Nelson, director of the Action Express Racing team. “We have a little more time to upgrade this time around for the Rolex 24 in January. The team showed a lot of great things last year, finishing second to the Rolex 24 and showing some pace. supported at Sebring. We will be working closely with Rick Hendrick’s group led by Chad Knaus. Jose Maria is new to the car this year. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and was WEC champion, and I’m sure that it will be operational very quickly when he gets into Ally’s Cadillac ”.

Johnson, Rockenfeller and Kobayashi are confirmed over the four long races in 2022. Only Lopez will start at the wheel of the Cadillac.
