AC Milan seizes the Italian Federation after racist cries targeting Tiémoué Bakayoko

AC Milan was quick to react. In the aftermath of the incidents that occurred during the match won against Lazio (2-O), Sunday in San Siro, the Lombard club announced that it had seized the Italian Federation (FIGC) « So that light may be shed on the cries coming from the visiting supporters sector ». Racist songs sung by Lazio fans were heard during the meeting. They seemed to be targeting Tiémoué Bakayoko in particular.

Earlier in the day, the French midfielder (27 years old, 1 selection) had accused, in a message on Instagram, « Some supporters of Lazio » to be at the origin of « Racist cries towards (him) and Franck Kessié ”. “We are strong and proud of our skin color. I have full confidence in our club to identify them ”, added the player on loan from Chelsea, who was injured shortly after entering the game.
