A tribute to Dennis Walker | Manchester United

His career has not been phenomenal but his mere appearance with the Red Devils was enough to launch a real movement of integration into the club.

A few years ago, Paddy Crerand spoke about Dennis Walker, who died in 2003, in an interview with Inside united

« I remember Dennis very well. He was a great guy and a good player. It didn’t make a difference to me that he was black, really not. I don’t really remember we spoke with the team because he was the first black player in Manchester United history at the time. But, that was a real topic of English football because, unfortunately, black players were indeed discriminated against during games. Dennis was a really great guy and I remember when he died a few years ago I saw his family at Old Trafford where his ashes were scattered. «
