In order to give new life to sporting goods, the Recyclerie Sportive association has opened premises and wishes to set up a co-repair workshop.

Open for just 48 hours, the Pauline Sports Recyclerie trotereau already won over customers on Thursday 8 September. In his shop, « we collect sports equipment, then either we redistribute it in stores, or we repair it to sell it afterwards or we do upcycling, that is to say, we do something else with it »explains the site coordinator. The objective of the association is to raise awareness of zero waste sport, because the sector generates 124,000 tonnes of waste each year, excluding textiles.

« Among these 124,000 tonnes, there is about 5% recovered for reuse when we could easily be at 50%, so there is a real waste »says Mark Bultezco-founder of the Recyclerie Sportif. The next turn that the association will take is, in the fall, the opening of a co-repair workshop on its premises. She would also soon like to carry out actions to raise awareness of environmental issues.
