a reward falls for Haaland

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has scooped the Premier League Player of the Month award for August.

Author of nine goals in just five games last month, for a record of thirteen goals in nine games in all competitions, the Norwegian center-forward notably signed two hat-tricks against Crystal Palace (4-2) and Nottingham Forest (6- 0).

Recruited this summer by the Citizens against the sum of 60 million euros, the former Borussia Dortmund goleador was preferred to Pascal Gross (Brighton and Hove Albion), Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham), Martin Odegaard (Arsenal), Nick Pope (Newcastle), Rodrigo (Leeds United) and Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace).
