a Premier League club wants to bet big on a player
Olympique Lyonnais started their season by conceding a first draw on Saturday at home against Stade Brestois (1-1). A disappointing meeting for Peter Bosz’s men who still have to perfect their automatisms and find the right settings. The Dutch coach also had to do without the services of Maxwel Cornet, injured. The player is nonetheless interested in the Premier League.
And it is especially Burnley who keeps the Lyonnais in his sights. The Lancashire club have been keen to recruit Cornet for a few weeks now, not least because he is failing to attract his number one target, Ademola Lookman. To forget the side of RB Leipzig, the Clarets want to extend € 20 million to afford the Lyonnais. According to the Sun, the offer could be made this week.
A few days ago, Burnley made an initial offer for around € 10 million. Jean-Michel Aulas had quickly refused, considering him far from his demands.
