A new sport GT arrives in Asia

Presented at the last EICMA show in Milan, the MV Agusta Lucky Explorer 5.5 should arrive on the European market in the coming months. Fitted with a 550cc engine developed by Benelli and assembled in China under an agreement with local giant QianJiang, the Lucky Explorer 5.5 will share its engine with another motorcycle. A sports-GT badged QJ Motor has indeed been presented, and should land soon on the Chinese market.

Equipped with the same engine as the MV Agusta trail bike, the QJ Motor GS550 is therefore based on the liquid-cooled parallel twin of 554 cm3, which develops, for the Chinese market, 57.2 horsepower for a torque of 51.25 Nm and a speed maximum announced at 180 km / h.

A new example of the rise in the range of motorcycles from Chinese manufacturers, the QJ Motor GS550 has KYB suspensions, Brembo brakes, a keyless start system, a color TFT screen and smartphone connectivity.

For the moment, the brand, which arrived in Europe this summer, has not indicated whether it intends to market the bike there in the near future. In France, the Chinese brand QJ Motor should soon be distributed by the specialist, DIP, even if the information concerning the available range is still unclear.
