A Le Mans chicane at the 24 Hours of Daytona

Pierre Fillon, president of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), was present at the 24 Hours of Daytona to announce a symbolic rapprochement between the double lap of the clock in Florida and that of Le Mans. The circuits of the two events will now have reciprocal names, referencing each other. Thus, the “Bus Stop” chicane at the International Speedway will henceforth be known as “The LE MANS Chicane” while the first Mulsanne chicane will be called “The DAYTONA chicane”.

“In the two years since our agreement to create a common class on both sides of the Atlantic, we have made many historic announcements, such as the convergence between LMH and LMDh and the renewal of our strategic alliance for the next decade, declared Pierre Fillon. This symbolic act illustrates the friendship between the ACO and IMSA which is essential for the future of endurance racing. » The curbs for these turns will also be painted blue and yellow.
