A first change at the Nets!
After a completely failed season, the Nets will return next year with a different roster. Several veterans will leave the ship, while recruitments are planned. While waiting for the players, the franchise has decided to make a change to its bench, with the arrival of an experienced coach: additional support for Steve Nash.
Despite Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving, and other good players, the Nets failed to pass a round in these playoffs. Worse ? They failed to take a victory in this postseason, the only team in such a situation. A real humiliation for Brooklyn, which has no real excuses. There have been a few injuries, but that doesn’t really explain the fiasco suffered in this campaign.
So inevitably, we can expect some changes during this offseason, to allow KD to get a little help. Irving? He won’t leave, even if his contract may create some waves. He will no doubt want the maximum, but given his injuries and the vaccine stories, committing to him for the long term may not be the idea of the century. A thorny issue to deal with, even if the front office is already in action.
First arrival in Brooklyn, on the bench!
According to Marc Stein, there will be movement on the Nets bench in the coming days, with the arrival of Igor Kokoskov, who knows Luka Doncic well. The Mavs assistant remains in the NBA, and even Steve Nash was obviously a fan. A way for the coach to reorganize his bench a bit, which needed it after the failure of the Nets. It’s a start, but certainly not the franchise’s last move.
The Nets are expected to hire Mavericks assistant coach Igor Kokoskov to serve as an assistant to Steve Nash on the Brooklyn bench, league sources say.
Nash had pursued Kokoskov when he first got the job after their time together in Phoenix.

first loss in this offseason for the Mavs
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Frank Vogel land as an assistant coach in Dallas with the Mavericks. Jason Kidd loves him!

A quality assistant for the Nets: it’s a first nice move on the market, in order to better direct the players next year. There are many expectations for Brooklyn, which does not really have the right to make mistakes, like the Lakers. We can therefore expect other movements.
