Fabio Cannavaro embarks on a coaching career. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 2006 World champion will indeed settle on the bench of a Serie B club.
After offering the World Cup to Squadra Azzura in 2006, Fabio Cannavaro is embarking on a new challenge. As journalist Fabrizio Romano reports, the Ballon d’Or is indeed very close to signing up with Benevento. The latter will exercise the function of head coach, a first for the former defender.
Currently, the team located in Campania sits in thirteenth place in the Italian second division. Accustomed to doing the lift with Serie A, Benevento made a rather timid start to the season (6 games, 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses).
Fabio Cannavaro has now reached full agreement with Italian second division club Benevento on a two year contract, he’s gonna sign as new head coach tomorrow. 🇮🇹🤝 #Cannavaro
